The Barrick Africa Middle East team is seeking to recruit an Occupational Health Nurse to join and grow with its team.

Responsibilities
The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for:
Providing nursing care at the North Mara Mine Clinic.
Conducting daily patient triage and ensuring smooth attendance at the clinic.
Administering medicines, injections and vaccinations as prescribed by the doctor.
Assisting with investigations such as audiometry, spirometry and vision screening during medical check-ups.
Conducting routine inspections of clinic and ambulance equipment.
Maintaining employees’ medical records.
Conducting the return-to-work programme following work-related injuries or periods of prolonged ill health.
Assessing the work environment for potential health and safety hazards.
Delivering health- and safety-related training programmes, including site induction.
Participating in meetings and health-promotion activities.
Delivering health awareness sessions.
Implementing health initiatives and programmes, including the PHE scheme, First Aid, the HIV/AIDS Workplace Programme and malaria programmes.
Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with public health and occupational health and safety.
Qualification requirements
Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Experience and competencies
Two to three years of relevant work experience.
Previous experience working in the mining industry will be an added advantage.
