About the Role

Masika Ventures is seeking an organized and proactive Human Resources Officer to manage daily HR operations, workforce administration, and labor compliance for its venture portfolio, including Tanganyika Blue—a pioneering native species aquaculture enterprise in Tanzania. This role drives employee development, performance management systems, and workplace relations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration & Payroll: Manage daily workforce operations, including attendance logs, leave balances, loan applications, and monthly payroll data inputs.
Performance Management: Coordinate annual employee performance reviews, appraisal frameworks, and skills training records.
Employee Relations & Compliance: Enforce local labor law compliance, manage disciplinary procedures and grievance investigations, and lead monthly Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) initiatives.
Operational Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align human capital strategies across regional office and field locations.

Candidate Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline.
3 to 5 years of hands-on human resources and personnel administration experience.
Comprehensive understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and statutory workplace regulations.
Strong bilingual proficiency (English and Swahili) with excellent interpersonal and mediation skills.
