Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
The Team Lead, Mining & Power drives UBA Tanzania’s corporate and commercial banking growth across the mining, energy, and power sectors. Business Acquisition & Portfolio Growth: Lead client acquisition across mining enterprises, energy producers, and power generation firms; achieve assigned targets for PBT/revenue, risk assets, bank guarantees, low-cost deposits, and foreign exchange transactions.

Credit Analysis & Risk Management: Screen credit applications, prepare detailed credit memoranda, and monitor approved risk triggers, conditions, and covenants; initiate recovery measures for watch-listed or non-performing accounts.

Site Visits & Executive Engagement: Conduct routine customer site visits to evaluate operations, plants, equipment, and collateral; serve as the central liaison for client executive leadership.
