Role overview
The HR Business Partner will support Jaza's new market expansions across Sub-Saharan Africa.
You will work closely with Employer of Record (EOR) partners, Group/Country HR teams, and local leaders to build HR infrastructure from scratch, execute onboarding/payroll verification, and ensure labor compliance while scaling company culture into new regions.
Key responsibilities
- Closing Date: October 04, 2026.
- Compliance & Partner Management: Own strategic relationships with Employer of Record (EOR) partners and external legal counsel.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to drive recruitment and onboarding.
- Managing performance review cycles, probation evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee development, and disciplinary matters.
- Maintaining compliant employee records and submit monthly payroll data accurately across multiple jurisdictions.
- HR Operations & Setup: Manage the HR launch process for new markets (contracting, payroll setups, mandatory insurance, and HRIS implementation).
- Coordinating global employee benefits administration.
- Making sure complete compliance with local labor laws across every operating countries.

Requirements
- Experience in startup environments, cross-border HR expansion, and change management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Law, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong cross-cultural communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Core Competencies: Experience with multi-country African labor laws and EOR vendor management.
- Language: Bilingual fluency in French and English is required.
- Proficiency in payroll data verification, complete-lifecycle HR operations, and strategic coaching.
- At least 3 years as an HR Business Partner supporting teams across multiple African countries.. This as well covers experience: 5 to 8 years of agile HR experience,.
