Position Summary
Reports To: EHI Board of Directors
The Medical Doctor will provide clinical leadership, outpatient consultation, emergency case management, and ensure strict compliance with Ministry of Health standards and NHIF requirements at EHI’s new Polyclinic.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care: Provide diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions (via STG), and emergency care.

Administration & Insurance: Accurately apply ICD-10 disease coding, manage NHIF beneficiaries, secure documentation for claims, and prepare MTUHA reports.

Leadership: Supervise and mentor clinical staff, maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and support quality improvement audits.
Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

Licensure: Active registration with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT) and a valid practicing license.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience.

Languages: Fluent in Kiswahili (mandatory) and working knowledge of English.
