Key responsibilities
- Preparing project schedules, work plans, budgets, estimates, scopes of work and technical specifications.
- Carrying out routine site visits and providing appropriate technical and project management guidance.
- Position: Project Manager - Buildings, Property and Development.
- Preparing routine project progress reports for the National Spiritual Assembly and relevant committees or offices.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of drawings, contracts, approvals, reports, photographs, certificates and remaining project documents.
- Reporting project delays, challenges and cost overruns.
- Preparing and/or interpreting architectural drawings, building plans, layouts and technical designs.
- Monitoring project expenditure and ensuring that projects remain inside approved budgets.
- Identifying project risks and recommending practical solutions to support the successful completion of projects.

- The successful candidate will coordinate, supervise and monitor architectural, building, construction, property and related development projects undertaken by the National Spiritual Assembly.
- Monitoring project progress, costs, timelines and contractor performance.
- The role as well involves working with relevant government authorities and remaining stakeholders on land matters, property documentation, construction approvals, surveying, title deeds and other statutory requirements.
- Following up on building permits, planning approvals, construction approvals and remaining government requirements.
- Liaising with relevant government authorities, covering land offices, municipal authorities, surveyors, planners and remaining statutory bodies.
- Coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, suppliers and remaining professionals involved in projects.
- Quality, proper use of materials and compliance with approved plans.. This as well covers supervising construction, renovation and maintenance work.

Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or a related field.
- Good knowledge of land surveying, property documentation, building approvals and relevant government procedures in Tanzania.
- Field-based duties include routine visits to construction sites, properties, land and buildings.
- Practical experience in architectural drawing, building design, construction supervision, project coordination and contractor management.
- At least three to five years of relevant experience in construction, architectural design, property development or project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or related design software and Microsoft Office.
- Clear use of English and Kiswahili.
- Office-based duties include architectural drawing, project planning and documentation.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, reporting, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and travel to different parts of Tanzania when required.
- The ability to read and prepare technical and architectural drawings.
- A portfolio or samples of architectural drawings, designs or completed projects, where accessible.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Copies of relevant academic and professional certificates.
