Honey Sales Officer – Masika Ventures

Job Purpose

The Honey Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales growth, channel expansion, and brand visibility for Upendo Honey products across Dar es Salaam, surrounding coastal regions, and cross-border markets. Operating primarily in the field, this role recruits community traders, builds key accounts across HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés) and supermarkets, manages cash collections, and coordinates regional distribution logistics.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Channel Development & Account Acquisition:
- Recruit, onboard, train, and manage field-based Community Traders.
- Pitch, onboard, and grow key business accounts across supermarkets, HoReCa clients, regional wholesalers, and cross-border buyers.
- Identify strategic depot and distribution opportunities in Kigoma and surrounding trade corridors.
Sales Targets & Revenue Management:
- Meet and exceed monthly sales volume and revenue targets.
- Handle daily cash collections, enforce credit control terms, and track payment repayments rigorously.
- Monitor market sales trends and adjust channel recruitment, product pricing, or promotional strategies accordingly.
Logistics & Operational Coordination:
- Coordinate product delivery schedules, inventory stock flow, and field distribution logistics with internal operations teams.
- Represent Third Man Limited / Upendo Honey professionally before informal traders, institutional buyers, and commercial partners.

Candidate Qualifications & Competencies

Core Requirements:

Languages: Full proficiency in written and spoken Swahili and English.
Skills: Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and deal-closing capabilities; basic numerical fluency in pricing margins and credit control.
Flexibility: Willingness to undertake field travel within Dar es Salaam, the Coast region, Kigoma, and regional cross-border trading posts.

Favorable (Preferred) Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field.
Work Experience: 2 years of field sales experience in FMCG, agribusiness, food distribution, or working with informal trader networks.
Licensure: Valid Tanzanian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
