Responsibilities

The Junior Technical Officer will:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to minimize risks.

Ensure quality standards are met in production and operational processes.

Document maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and operational challenges.

Develop process improvements using engineering principles and software tools.

Conduct material planning and coordinate with the procurement team on resource allocation.

Contribute to sustainable engineering initiatives that are environmentally friendly and safe.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications and skills

Candidates should bring the following to the role:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, QA/QC, or a STEM-related discipline.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail when troubleshooting technical issues.

A strong commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement.

Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adapt to different engineering, technical, and operational roles.

Fluency in English and Swahili.
