Role overview
To support the development, performance management, and continuous improvement of NMB's retail liabilities product suite and segment-based proposition.
Main Responsibilities.
savings accounts, current accounts, investment products, and digital micro-wallets.. This also covers supporting the design, enhancement, and lifecycle management of retail liabilities products,.
Contribute to the development and refinement of segment-based propositions, ensuring products are tailored to the needs of distinct retail customer groups.
monitoring product performance against targets, analysing uptake, balance, attrition, and profitability, and recommending corrective action where required.
carrying out market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing ones.
Work with Marketing, Channels, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to plan and execute product enhancements, launches and campaigns.
preparing product papers, business cases, and pricing recommendations for review and approval.
making sure all liabilities products comply with Bank of Tanzania regulations and internal policies.
supporting the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and presentations on portfolio performance.
Gather customer and frontline feedback to inform product refinements and service improvements.
assisting in tracking and resolving system or process issues affecting product performance.
Knowledge and Skills.
Sound understanding of retail banking products, particularly savings, transactional accounts, and digital financial services.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
Good commercial awareness and understanding of customer segmentation principles.
Effective report writing, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Working knowledge of the Bank of Tanzania regulatory framework and the National Financial Inclusion Framework is a useful extra.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis tools is an advantage.
