CCBRT’s Maternity and Newborn Wing acts as the primary referral center for high-risk deliveries and obstetric fistula repairs in Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
Position Overview
The Grants Management & Compliance Officer oversees CCBRT’s active grant portfolio, ensuring donor-funded projects align with signed agreements, approved work plans, budgets, and reporting frameworks. Reporting across program and financial units, this role ensures strict compliance with donor guidelines, supports resource mobilization, coordinates project close-outs, and streamlines data collection for research and future proposals.
Key Responsibilities

Grant Portfolio Management: Monitor project budgets, deliverables, and implementation timelines to ensure alignment with donor agreements.

Compliance & Risk Management: Identify operational and financial risks, maintain compliance with institutional donor rules, and ensure adherence to local regulatory obligations (e.g., NGO Registrar requirements).

Reporting & Documentation: Facilitate high-quality, timely technical and financial progress reports for internal leadership and external donors.

Resource Mobilization: Identify funding opportunities, assist in proposal development, and partner with Project and Community Development Coordinators to leverage field data for evidence-based fundraising.

Audit & Project Close-out: Coordinate grant-related internal/external audits and manage formal project close-out procedures.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with Finance and Administration to streamline financial tracking, budget re-allocations, and cost allocation methods.
Candidate Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field. (Master’s degree is an added advantage).

Experience: 4 to 5+ years of experience in grant management, donor compliance, or program management within an NGO or international development context. Grants Management & Compliance Officer

Donor Expertise: Demonstrated track record of managing institutional donor relationships, complex reporting frameworks, and compliance guidelines.

Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills; proficiency in MS Office and specialized grant/project software.

Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.

Attributes: Self-driven, detail-oriented, with proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and diverse stakeholder groups.
