Position Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator leads and coordinates the supply chain function for Save the Children Tanzania. This position provides technical support and oversight across procurement, fleet coordination, asset tracking, vendor management, and inventory systems to ensure efficient, compliant, and timely support for program implementation across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Management: Coordinate local and national procurement activities ensuring strict compliance with Save the Children policies, donor requirements, and value-for-money standards.
- Fleet & Transportation: Oversee fleet management systems, optimizing vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, fuel tracking, and transport safety for program operations.
- Asset & Inventory Control: Manage organizational assets and store inventories; oversee periodic physical counts, maintain accurate registers, and ensure proper warehousing practices.
- Supplier & Contract Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance, and maintain pre-qualified supplier lists to support ongoing procurement needs.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with program and finance teams to streamline operational planning, mitigate supply chain risks, and deliver data-driven operational reporting.
